Administrative Assistant
The City of Murfreesboro Administrative Assistant performs many duties vital to the daily operations of our local government. Listed below you will find many of the duties performed.
- Serve as the link between the public and the mayor and city council.
- Provide clerical and administrative functions to the mayor and council.
- Respond to requests for information from the public, other municipalities, state officials, or state and federal legislative offices.
- Perform general office duties, typing or proofreading correspondence, distributing or filing official forms, or scheduling appointments.
- Issue public notification of all official activities or meetings.
- Collaborate with other staff to assist in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, or priorities.
- Issue building permits that have been approved by the Planning Commission and collect appropriate fees.
- Issue vendor permits for non permanent businesses and collect appropriate fees.
- Submit requests for temporary street closures.
